Sybiga and Kallas discussed critical decisions for Ukraine in wartime.


Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiga met with the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell
Minister Sybiga expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with Kaia Kallas and thanked her for the invitation to the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting and the reception on the sidelines of the Third EU-African Union Ministerial Meeting.
During the meeting, Sybiga emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen pressure on Russia through the use of sanctions. He noted: 'Sanctions are an effective tool for reducing Russia's military budget and forcing an end to hostilities.'
According to Andrii Sybiga, EU member states have already allocated two-thirds of the 2 million artillery shells, 'and we are working to ensure the rest as soon as possible. I express my gratitude to Kaia for her important initiative.'
The Foreign Minister emphasized the need for bold and significant decisions to deter Russia and assist Ukraine in joining the EU. 'We agreed on the importance of continuing both of these processes,' he stated.
During the meeting, important aspects of cooperation between the EU and Ukraine were discussed, highlighting the importance of unity in addressing modern challenges and security threats. The crucial support of the EU for Ukraine in the Eurointegration process was emphasized.
