Commission instead of cashback: PrivatBank exposed in scams with utility payments.


PrivatBank clients accused the bank of fraud with utility bills
PrivatBank clients expressed doubts about the bank's actions regarding utility bills and accused it of violating its own terms. One Ukrainian expressed his dissatisfaction after participating in a marketing campaign with cashback for utility payments, where PrivatBank promised to refund money when paying bills with a credit card. However, it turned out that the bank does not adhere to the terms of the campaign and does not provide the promised cashback. Instead, the bank charges a commission for using credit funds.
'PrivatBank recently launched its campaign called 'Hello', which included cashback on utility services funded by credit resources. Despite our efforts to meet the terms, the bank deducts a fee for using credit funds instead of providing cashback,' complained the man.
The client noted that two utility payments cost him 150 hryvnias, which was deducted from his credit limit as a commission. He also expressed surprise at the scale of this deception and hopes that the bank will quickly resolve his issue.
Representatives of PrivatBank promise to take the client's issue into account and try to resolve it as soon as possible.
Recall that PrivatBank issued a 'Diia.Card' for all state payments.
