Sentenced to 15 years, former Vladivostok mayor will go to war in Ukraine.


Former Vladivostok mayor Igor Pushkaryov, who was convicted of corruption in Russia, signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense and is going to fight against Ukraine. In 2019, he was convicted of receiving a bribe and abusing his official powers during his tenure as mayor of Vladivostok from 2009 to 2015. In July 2022, he was again convicted of abuse of office, restricting carriers in the commercial services market. Pushkaryov was sentenced to 15 years in prison and fined 500 million rubles. He was also deprived of the right to hold positions related to the exercise of the functions of a government representative for 11 years. Now he has signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense and is going to fight in Ukraine. A similar fate was shared by another former mayor of Vladivostok, Oleg Gumenyuk, also convicted of corruption, who is also fighting on the side of the occupation forces of the Russian Federation. It is also known that on the Kurakhiv direction, Ukrainian fighters captured an Egyptian.
