The prosecutor's office of Crimea has announced suspicions against the head of the occupying State Council of the Republic of Crimea for collaborationism, justifying, and promoting war. According to the media, this concerns Volodymyr Konstantinov.

In particular, the suspect transmitted narratives of Russian propaganda, referred to the temporary occupation of the peninsula as the return of 'his' lands and 'restoration of justice', and identified Crimea as a territory that 'legally joined Russia as a result of World War II.'

The suspect also justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation as a necessity for 'denazification' and 'demilitarization' of Ukraine and 'ensuring Russia's safety from threats from the West.' Furthermore, he called to continue the war, deliver a strategic defeat to the West on Ukrainian territory, occupy Odesa, and Kharkiv.

The individual has been notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (public calls for changing the borders of the territory and state border of Ukraine), Part 6 of Article 111-1 (collaboration activities), Article 436 (propaganda of war), and Part 3 of Article 436-2 (justification, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation and temporary occupation of part of Ukraine's territories).
