Calling for the capture of Odesa - a suspicion against a Crimean collaborator.


The prosecutor's office of Crimea has announced suspicions against the head of the occupying State Council of the Republic of Crimea for collaborationism, justifying, and promoting war. According to the media, this concerns Volodymyr Konstantinov.
This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

In 2023, the individual gave a series of interviews to the pro-Russian television channel 'Millet', in which he approved of the occupation of the peninsula and called for further waging an aggressive war against Ukraine. In particular, the suspect transmitted narratives of Russian propaganda, referred to the temporary occupation of the peninsula as the return of 'his' lands and 'restoration of justice', and identified Crimea as a territory that 'legally joined Russia as a result of World War II.'
The suspect also justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation as a necessity for 'denazification' and 'demilitarization' of Ukraine and 'ensuring Russia's safety from threats from the West.' Furthermore, he called to continue the war, deliver a strategic defeat to the West on Ukrainian territory, occupy Odesa, and Kharkiv.
What punishment is threatened
The individual has been notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (public calls for changing the borders of the territory and state border of Ukraine), Part 6 of Article 111-1 (collaboration activities), Article 436 (propaganda of war), and Part 3 of Article 436-2 (justification, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation and temporary occupation of part of Ukraine's territories). He faces up to 12 years of imprisonment.

From December 2001 to March 2010, Volodymyr Konstantinov was the president of the corporation 'Ukrrosbud'. From March 2010 to March 2014 - the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
And since March 2014, after the occupation of the peninsula, the official switched to the side of the Russian Federation and headed the occupying State Council of the Republic of Crimea. He is currently under international sanctions from the USA, Canada, Japan, the European Union, Switzerland, and Great Britain.
