Swedish Authorities Announce Increased Risk of Russian Sabotage in the Country.

The Swedish police have reported an increased risk of Russian sabotage operations in the country. According to police representative Karl Melin, the risk has increased against the backdrop of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The most vulnerable targets of possible sabotage are Sweden's defense industry enterprises. The likelihood of Russian sabotage has also increased in some other European countries, but specific countries were not mentioned.
In Germany, military bases near Cologne and Geilenkirchen have been cordoned off due to sabotage suspicions and possible water poisoning. A hole in the fence and water pipeline issues were found at the bases. Access to the NATO airbase in the city of Geilenkirchen was also closed due to suspicion of sabotage and the inspection of drinking water quality.
The Irish police have also reported attempts of Russian espionage on their territory.
