Part of the success of the Kursk operation is related to the fact that it had not been talked about in the general space for a long Time. Now it can be said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are paving the way to Lgov, but Ukrainian troops will not move towards Kurchatov, where the Kursk nuclear power plant is located.
"I don't think our command plans to capture Kurchatov. We don't need this headache of being responsible for someone else's nuclear power plant in front of the entire world community. We don't even plan to visit it. But the direction to Lgov is interesting. There is a part of the territory on our side of the Seim River, which is already cut off from the rest of the Kursk region. It's a matter of the next few days — to take this territory under control and capture prisoners as a result." - noted Yevgeny Diky, ex-commander of the "Aidar" battalion.
Diky drew attention to the fact that the Russian command sends servicemen from different regions of Russia to the Kursk region to liberate the region.
"It's a hodgepodge without any organization, there isn't even a full division. Many conscripts from different regions of Russia are sent there. The Russian command is trying to reinforce its troops." - said Diky.
Diky cited the example of "Wagnerites," who were recently transferred to the Kursk region from Burkina Faso.
"But there are only 350 of them. This does not correspond to the scale of the operation. Russian troops are trying to involve a larger number of combat units." - explained Diky.
The expert noted that from the Donetsk direction, units with supplies have not been withdrawn so far.
