Ukrainian football coach and referee has passed away in Moldova.

In Moldova, the famous Ukrainian football referee and coach Mykola Trubachov has died from cancer. He was born on May 20, 1957, and had a successful career not only as a player but also as a coach.

Mykola Ivanovych played for the teams 'Tsementnyk' in Lipetsk, 'Elekrosila' in Leningrad, and Ukrainian army teams. He also worked as a referee and was the head coach of Kharkiv's 'Arsenal' and Chernivtsi's 'Bukovyna'. He also led teams from Kazakhstan, Lithuania, and Latvia.

Mykola Ivanovych is being laid to rest in Kyiv. The world has also lost two more outstanding athletes - Ukrainian track and field athlete Hennadiy Horbenko and Japanese gymnast Akinori Nakayama.

Horbenko, who died at the age of 50, was the first world junior champion in athletics from Ukraine. He also participated in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. The Ukrainian Athletics Federation expressed condolences to the athlete's family and friends and highlighted his spirit, talent, and love for the sport.

Nakayama, who passed away at the age of 83 from stomach cancer, was a successful gymnast. He won four gold medals at the 1968 Olympic Games and two more gold medals in 1972. He also earned 12 medals at world championships and was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2005.
