Procedure for restoring important documents for citizens of Ukraine
Due to military conflicts, citizens of Ukraine often lose their important documents and then face the problem of restoring them.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the procedure for restoring different types of documents varies depending on the specific situation and requires a certain set of documents for their restoration.
Restoring property ownership documents
If you lose a property ownership document issued after 2013, you can obtain an extract from the State Register of Property Rights. With this extract, you will be able to manage the property and apply for compensation if something happens to it. It can be obtained online or at the CNAP or from a notary.
If you lost the document before 2013 and have no records in the register, you need to contact the authority that issued the document. If the information is lost, you may possibly contact the court.
Restoring a passport
In the case of loss or theft of a passport, you need to issue a new one. For this, contact the State Migration Service.

- Extract from the Unified State Register (if the passport was stolen in Ukraine)
- Documents confirming identity and status
- Photo 10x15 cm
- Passport for traveling abroad
- Application for removal from the consular account
- Other necessary documents
The issuance of a new passport will take from 10 to 20 days, and its cost will be 558 UAH or 928 UAH in case of urgent issuance.
Restoring a military ID
Losing a military ID is a violation and may be punishable by a fine. To restore the ID, you need to submit the relevant documents to the district military commissariat.

- Other documents specified in the regulations
A new military ID can be obtained within five working days.
