Russia struck Sumy with ballistic missiles: there are dead, wounded children (updated).


On Friday, May 6, Russian troops struck the suburb of Sumy. Oleg Grygorov, head of the Sumy OVA, reported that as a result of the shelling, a child was killed and many people were injured.
The attack on the suburb of Sumy occurred around 5:30 PM. Preliminary data indicate that Russian troops struck civil infrastructure with a ballistic missile.

Clarified information confirmed that a 20-year-old girl was killed, not a child as previously reported.

The Russian strike resulted in the deaths of three people - a child and two adults. The Russians took the lives of a six-year-old boy, a 20-year-old woman, and a 41-year-old man. Four children and adults were injured. Two of them are in extremely serious condition.
Unfortunately, the Russian troops do not tend to cease their aggressive actions in Ukraine. It is important for the international community not only to condemn such attacks but also to take specific measures to protect the civilian population.
