From June 1, 2025, PrivatBank will introduce new limits on the maximum amount of card transfers and transfers via IBAN details. Now the maximum limit for such transactions will be 100,000 hryvnias per month.These changes are being implemented as part of the Memorandum of Ukrainian banks to ensure transparency in the payment services market, as reported by the PrivatBank press service.The new limits will only apply to transfers made by individuals to accounts of other counterparties via bank cards or IBAN details both within the country and abroad.Importantly, these restrictions will not affect payments for goods and services, including utility bills or purchases in stores.Exceptions to the rules: transfers between accounts of the same customer at the same bank, transfers from customers with verified incomes, volunteer operations.According to PrivatBank, the limit on card transfers of 100,000 hryvnias will only apply to 1.5% of the total number of bank customers. Some customers already have increased limits due to high incomes or individual decisions by the bank.Limit management: PrivatBank will notify customers when their limit approaches 50% or 80%, so they can manage transactions and avoid restrictions. Customers can increase their card transfer limit in the Privat24 app, contact customer support through the online chat on the bank's website or by phone at 3700, or visit the bank's branch in person.In summary: PrivatBank is introducing new limits on the maximum amount of card transfers and transfers via IBAN details to ensure transparency in the payment services market.
