Cucumbers at 140 hryvnias: why Ukrainians will have to pay more for their favorite vegetable.

Cucumber prices in Ukraine are rising due to worsening weather and decreased imports
The price of Ukrainian cucumbers has increased to 95-140 hryvnias per kilogram. The reason for this is the worsening weather and a decrease in imports.
According to the analytical platform EastFruit, the price of cucumbers from local greenhouse farms in Ukraine has risen by 12% compared to last week. Currently, the price ranges from 95 to 140 hryvnias per kilogram.
Experts note that the deterioration of weather conditions has led to a decrease in cucumber yields in greenhouses, while demand remains high. Furthermore, the unfavorable situation with the supply of imported cucumbers has allowed producers to raise prices.
Prices for vegetables in the borscht set are increasing
Prices for vegetables in the borscht set in Ukraine have risen due to worsening weather and reduced planting areas. Cabbage, carrots, and onions have become more expensive.
The price increase also affects beets, carrots, and onions due to unfavorable weather conditions. Prices in the markets are also rising for tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers due to seasonal factors and increased growing costs.
