An atmospheric front with heavy rainfall passed through the southern and central parts of Poland, causing street flooding in some localities. The Greater Poland Voivodeship suffered the most damage, where rescuers are removing water from flooded premises.
Due to the flooding, national roads No. 11 and 12 in the city of Pleszew had to be closed. Also, some sewage pumping stations in the city are not working due to power outages. Streets and vehicles in Ostrów Wielkopolski also suffered from flooding.
Part of the city hall building in Jarocin was also flooded, and several roads were blocked. Residents are urged to refrain from traveling except in urgent cases.
A tragedy also occurred in the city of Changzhou in eastern China, where six people were killed by a lightning strike in a park.
