The Netherlands will allocate more money for the investigation of Russia's crimes against Ukraine

The Dutch government plans to allocate an additional 3.5 million euros to strengthen the capabilities for investigating crimes related to Russian aggression against Ukraine. This statement was made by the country's Minister of Justice and Security during the United for Justice. United for Survivors conference.

A key point in restoring justice is strengthening Ukrainian capabilities in investigating international crimes caused by Russian aggression against Ukraine. This will remain a key issue in international efforts for the coming years. We coordinate this within the Dialogue Group. Today, the Dutch government announced 3.5 million euros of new financial support for this.

David van Will also explained that this funding will be used to engage legal experts to support Ukrainian prosecutors and the International Criminal Court. Additionally, the funds will go towards the work of the Dialogue Group secretariat for the next 2 years and support for the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) and capability-building programs in 2026-2027.

This additional financial support demonstrates the Netherlands' commitment to the fight for justice and support for Ukraine in the process of investigating crimes committed during Russian aggression.
