Nazism and Discrimination: ISW Explains How Russia is Creating Conditions for Aggression Against Europe.

According to a new report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russia is strengthening the propaganda narratives used to justify its invasion of Ukraine. The main goal of these actions is to create conditions for future aggression against European countries and to control European defense policy.
'80 years after the Great Victory: The Shadow of Nazism has once again Covered Europe' - this is the title of the report from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, published on April 25. This report accuses European states and officials of reviving Nazi ideology and discriminating against Russian-speaking populations.
Spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova disseminated this report, accusing European countries of hindering the 'demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.' She attempts to point out that the Baltic States and Poland are justifying and reviving national socialist ideology.
Analysts believe that such narratives are used by Russian officials as a means to change the political regime in Ukraine and establish a pro-Russian government. In doing so, Russia may create information conditions for future aggression against the Baltic States and Poland.
Through discrediting European countries, Russian officials are trying to stop support and assistance to Ukraine and hinder the restoration of its defense industry. This is intended to create conditions for future Russian aggression against a weakened Europe.
Moreover, Russia is attempting to discredit Europe, which is in dire need of rearmament of the continent. The Kremlin aims to demonstrate improved relations with the United States at the expense of creating rifts between America and Europe.
Such actions by Russia indicate its intention to change the geopolitical structures of Europe and contribute to further instability in the region.
