The European Commission assessed the level of Ukraine's implementation of EU legislation in energy.


The European Commission confirmed that Ukraine successfully implements European legislation in the energy sector. This information was provided by the European Commission in its report.
According to the report, Ukraine has adopted laws on the use of renewable energy sources and developed a National Energy and Climate Plan. Additionally, a Decarbonization Fund was created to support energy-efficient and renewable programs, and the legislation on nuclear safety and radiation protection was aligned with Euratom standards.
Also, the company "Energoatom" was transformed into a joint-stock company with a supervisory board.
The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Halushchenko, commented on this success, saying: "Despite the difficult situation and challenges associated with the war, we continue to carry out reforms and implement European standards and rules in energy markets. Energy security is an important issue for us."
