Up to 640 hryvnias per kilo: how prices for beef, baked pork, and lard have changed before Easter.


Prices for meat products have become a topic of discussion among Ukrainians. According to information from the Minfin portal, there were changes in prices for beef, baked pork, and lard in April.
It is noted that the price for beef goulash has slightly increased. The average price per kilogram is 339.33 UAH, compared to 333.71 UAH in the previous month. It is worth noting that prices for beef vary significantly between different stores. The lowest price is 313.09 UAH at Metro, while the highest is 375 UAH at Megamarket. On the other hand, the price for beef ribs has decreased from 190.09 UAH to 196.95 UAH per kilogram.
The price for baked pork has practically not changed. Baked pork produced by 'Yatran'' now costs an average of 575.23 UAH per kilogram, which is almost unchanged from the price in March - 576.81 UAH. The same price (634.16 UAH per kilogram) has remained for the baked pork with prunes from 'Yatran''. However, it is worth noting that the price for 'Yatran'' baked pork can vary in different stores. The lowest price is 529.60 UAH at Megamarket, while the highest is 625.32 UAH at Metro.
Lard has slightly decreased in price. The price dropped from 239.69 UAH to 238.50 UAH per kilogram. Prices for lard also differ in various stores. For example, at Megamarket it costs 198 UAH, while at Novus, it is 279 UAH.
Additionally, it should be noted that before Easter, an additional increase in prices for meat products is expected.
