Denmark has provided 98 million euros for the purchase of equipment to enhance Ukraine's energy security as part of the Ukrainian-Danish energy partnership. This was stated by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen during the forum.
'We have a Ukrainian-Danish energy partnership, this is our flagship civil initiative that contributes to the resilience of Ukrainian energy. 98 million euros has been allocated for the purchase of solar equipment, gas piston units,' the ambassador noted.
The ambassador emphasized that energy efficiency is an important aspect of cooperation between Denmark and Ukraine. It concerns both short-term and long-term strategies aimed at improving energy security.
Mikkelsen also mentioned that the countries cooperate in the areas of thermal insulation, heating and cooling systems, as well as technologies for energy conservation.
