Prices are creeping up — which product has increased the most.


Ukrainians will again start paying more for products. In Ukraine, food prices continue to rise in June 2025. Prices have increased by over 23% compared to June 2024, according to data from the State Statistics Service.
Food prices — what has increased the most
Over the past year, the largest increase in price has been for eggs (59.2%), fruits (51.7%), sunflower oil (33.6%). Prices have also risen for butter (28.3%), vegetables (24.2%), meat and meat products (22.9%), bread (21.9%), milk (20.9%), cheese and cottage cheese (17.9%).
According to the statistical office, food inflation was higher than the overall inflation, the rate of which slowed to 14.3% by the end of June 2025.
What else is worth knowing
Prices for bread and flour products in Ukraine are not expected to undergo significant changes if the wheat harvest in 2025 is sufficient. According to the director of the NGO 'Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation' Pavel Koval, other factors may also affect the cost of products.
During the off-season, when the volumes of the harvest, annual funds, and reserves of food wheat are already known, prices for baked bread and pasta products increase by more than 1% each month.
Prices for food products in Ukraine continue to rise, particularly the increases are felt the most in the cost of eggs, fruits, and oil. Food inflation exceeds the general price growth rate, however, the reality of wheat prices may determine future trends in the cost of flour-based products.
