Sybyha stated that negotiations between Zelensky and Putin are needed to start a substantive dialogue with the Russian Federation regarding the end of the war. He also emphasized that Russia sends representatives to meetings who do not make any decisions.
'It is very important that these meetings, possible meetings in case a date is agreed upon, be substantive. So that the other side has a mandate to discuss the most important issues: ending the war, achieving a truce. So far, we do not see this, therefore one of the proposals was that we indeed have the opportunity to discuss such strategic issues at a meeting at the level of Zelensky — Putin', — emphasized the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Recall that earlier Zelensky named the key topic of the next negotiations in Istanbul. According to him, attention will be paid to the exchange of prisoners and more.
