Attack on Kharkiv: Russian drones hit high-rise buildings, there are casualties (updated).


On the night of July 7, 2025, Kharkiv became the target of a drone attack from Russia. They struck high-rise buildings in the Slobid and Shevchenko districts of the city. This was reported by the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, according to 'Glavcom'.
According to the mayor, as a result of this, 12 people were injured in the Shevchenko district, and two more were injured in the Slobid district. The total number of injured in the city reached 16.
Later, Ihor Terekhov clarified the data, indicating that the number of injured in the Shevchenko district increased to eight. It was also reported that four people were injured in the Slobid district, including two children, and two injured in the Shevchenko district.
Additionally, a fire occurred in a residential building in Kharkiv due to shelling and damage in the Slobid district. Information about the extent of the destroyed buildings and the number of injured is still being clarified. Rescue services are working at the scene.
Other cities also suffered
In the city of Krasnozavodsk, which borders the Moscow region, explosions also occurred as a result of a drone attack, damaging an unknown number of buildings. In addition, the occupying Russian army attacked Kyiv, where vehicles, a water supply pipe, and residential buildings were damaged. Rescue services are providing assistance and investigating the incidents.
The mentioned drone attacks in Kharkiv, Krasnozavodsk, and Kyiv indicate the continuation of the conflict and the aggravation of the situation in the region, leading to property destruction and casualties among the civilian population. Rescue operations and investigations of the incidents are ongoing to identify those responsible and provide assistance to the victims.
