The Russian Army is ready to continue the offensive despite massive losses on the front - IISS report.

The Russian army can continue to advance for another year
According to the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the Russian army has suffered significant losses in the course of the war with Ukraine, but has managed to partially restore lost equipment. However, the quality and quantity of the restored equipment are unsatisfactory. This means that the army may temporarily improve its capabilities, but this will lead to heavy losses.
Overall, since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost about 14 thousand military vehicles, including main battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. However, it has managed to repair and build over 1500 tanks and about 2800 fighting vehicles.
However, the biggest problem for Russia is the lack of infantry fighting vehicles. Although production has increased, it is still not enough. Therefore, the Russian army is trying to mitigate this problem through temporary measures and infantry attacks.
As a result of the conflict, Russia has suffered heavy losses among its military. At least 172 thousand have been killed, 611 thousand are injured, of which 376 thousand have sustained serious injuries. In total, the number of injured who have a chance to recover is 235 thousand.
It is estimated that Ukraine has approximately 617 thousand individuals, including the injured and those undergoing training to participate in the conflict.
The International Institute for Strategic Studies believes that the Russian army can continue offensive operations for at least another year, however, this will lead to significant losses.
