The lawyer explained whether civilians in Ukraine can wear military uniforms.

Can civilians wear military uniforms? Legal position
Lawyer Tetiana Kozachenko answered this question on the air of the Kyiv24 channel.
Many civilians in Ukraine wear military-style clothing, even if they are not military personnel. This often causes disapproval from current and former military personnel. Therefore, Ukrainians want to know whether it is prohibited by law and whether civilians can wear such clothing during wartime.
According to Kozachenko, there is no exact definition of 'military uniform' in the legislation.
'If you are wearing a pixelated or camouflage t-shirt, this is not military uniform,' the lawyer notes.
The lawyer also notes that even if you wear a military uniform but it does not have insignia of the Armed Forces, chevrons, or epaulettes, you are not subject to liability. Neither administrative nor criminal.
'If there are no distinguishing marks on the uniform, there is no liability,' Kozachenko explains.
However, she emphasizes that many civilians who wear camouflage commit crimes. Therefore, in the lawyer's opinion, legislation needs to be changed so that such people could receive appropriate punishment.
